According to Chris Witor's notes in the 2000 Register's service notes,
the Mk2 Vitesse and Mk2 GT6 engines had the following head identities:
Stamped head no: 517528 (found inside valve cover, RH side towards the
front)
Casting no (raised) 308351
This head has no EGR hump but it does have a rear water slot. If this
meets the head fitted on your car, then the pushrod length is exactly
8 inches, dead.
If you don't have 517528 stamped on your head, tell me the number you
do have and I can then cross-refer.
