had a chance to measure all my cylinders today
with my brand new toy... bore gauge (courtesy of
EBay of course)

What kind of tolerances are there on out of round?
The best I could measure on 3-4 different cross
tangents....multiple distances up and down the bores...
worst case seems to be about 0.0017 in the suspect
low compression cyl #3.

cyls #1,2,& 4 all were still at 150 psi dry. Surprisingly
cyl #4 seemed to have the greatest 'out of round
measurements
at .002" and amazingly the measurements were repeatable
down the height of the cyl to within 0.0007

Is this all good enough to just break the glaze and drop
new pistons and rings back in. All the bores are
worst case 2.9" + .002
