A quick update on the Stag. Hooray - I got the left side front suspension
all hooked up last evening and started the process of filling the brake
lines with fluid. Hopefully the under-the-car work is now complete bar
fitting a new spin-on adaptor and filter. Included in the rebuild, new
bushes, poly at rear rubber at front, Spax all round, new springs, front and
back (Glenn - will let you know what happens when I lower the car onto its
wheels), new lower swivels, new anti-roll bar bushes and joints, new ss
exhaust, and gearbox rebuild.
The wheels will be going on this weekend and as soon as I get the carpets
secured and the seats in then the block is my oyster!!! There is a chance
that by Sunday the car will be off the axle stands for the first time in
over 18 months. Still have the steering column to switch across from the 71
(as well as the parcel shelf - yes I got one!) and various electrical
bigglyboos to work through, so a state inspection is probably a few weeks
away. Just in time for winter.....
