I have a "TR4 & TR4A Workshop Manual" that matches Art's Bentley ISBN number and
the Rimmers part number he mentioned in his post, #510322. It is a Brooklands
Books reprint of the Standard-Triumph manual first copyrighted in 1961, I assume
it's equivalent to the Bentley reprint.

I also have a "Triumph Owners Handbook of Maintenance & Repair" which I
recieved,
as a beat-up old photocopy, from the DPO's mechanic. It's about 330 pages, first
published by Floyd Clymer Publications in '65 (?). The cover lists a $5 list
price, and it covers all TR Models to 1965. It's a great little manual, written
for the owner, not as a workshop manual as is the Standard-Triumph book. I'd
recommend this one, but I doubt you'll ever find a copy, even if you were
willing
to pay, say, $6. <g> If I'm not near my email, this is my first reference when
troubleshooting as the book is quite readable in layman's terms.

And there's a wonderful introduction letter signed by Floyd, in which he says
"...this breed of sports car is, I think, very well turned out. TR's are rugged,
fast and quite reliable. ...And, all the TR owners whom I know are extremely
happy with the machine" I could excerpt this intro further, For Education Or
Research Purposes Only, if anyone's interested.
