OK, I thought I'd throw my .02 in this topic as well. I've got the usual
squirrels, robins and neighborhood dogs, but more unusual is one afternoon
while having a backyard barbeque we had a cockatial swoop down and land right
next to my wife (it's now a member of the household menagerie!) Another time,
just as I was coming home at dark, I had to slam my brakes on as something
darted out of my yard, almost from my driveway. Imagine my shock to realize I
had almost hit a cougar! (four-legged variety)
