into the sealing block. The middle one also secures the timing cover. I
don't think that removing this bolt will distirb the timing chain cover
gasket since that gasket is between the engine plate and the timing cover.

There is a gasket between the engine plate and the block. Since there is
no block here the gasket seals to the sealing block. Removing the block
will likely damage this gasket. This is what I meant. My apologies if I
wasn't clear before.
