supplier of the gearbox tunnels worked best. To my knowledge there are at
least three.

a) ABS Plastic (from most anybody)
b) Fibreglass (from Smoothline)
c) Fibreglass (from VB)

When I did my clutch in May of 1999, I purchased the ABS Plastic one from
Moss. The fit was HORRIBLE, and thus installation and subsequent drilling
of the securing holes was difficult. Needless to say, I was never happy
with it or the installation job I did. So are the fibreglass ones any
better?

Interesting. When I bought my TR6 it had no cover so I purchased a
galssfibre model which fit very porrly. It was too short at the fire wall
and too tall at the driveshaft tunnel. I wound up using a significant
amount of bondo to make it sort of fit. In 1990 (the the VTR in Boulder) I
bought a vacu-formed (ABS) model which fit PERFECTLY! I still have it to
this day. I gave my old fiberglass one to Dan Masters to cut up for his V8
project (may his success with that durn thing be greater than mine).

Drive your British car.
