tr250: can't select reverse

Fellow Listers,

I had my tranny and overdrive rebuilt by Quantum
Mechanics approximately 2 years ago. I'm just now
getting the car on the road and I can't select reverse.
I can position the shift lever of 2 the reverse selector
rod, but I can't move the shift lever down to get
reverse. It appears to be jammed. I started the
motor, worked my way up and down the gear
box, engaged and disengaged overdrive, but I
couldn't get the tranny into reverse :(

Any help is greatly appreciated.
