Jeff: You, most probably, have a bad diode. This will eventually run your battery down. I strongly recommend that you pull the alternator and have it serviced at a decent alternator shop. A bit of solder properly applied should fix the problem- this should not cos very much. It is an cheap and easy fix, so it would seem foolish to me to ignore it, especially considering the possible consequences. -MF |
