TR6 Oil Filter Question?

Hey gang.

Can you get a TR6 canister oil filter on backwards?  Just wondering.  When I
changed oil in it recently I wondeed that question because the filter is
restricted on one end and not on the other..  Which way does the restricted
end go on?  Toward the block or away?
