> Thanks to all of you, I went to the parking lot at lunch and checked the

wires. The coil wire was 95% of the way in the coil, 100% in the dizzy
cap,
fixed. Number 2 wire was loose at the dizzy (like 30% on). Every thing
else looks ok (battery to starter, coil, alt)EXCEPT the dizzy ground strap
inside the cap. It's hanging on by like 4 strands of wire.
I drove around at lunch, car seems better. Could the number 2 wire and
the coil make that much difference, or is my problem the ground wire in the

dizzy? Can i just use a speaker wire or something in the dizzy for now to
get home (it's working now, but if I touch it I fear it will disentigrate)
,
or is there a certian resistance it has to be?
Thanks again,
Graham Spencer

Sure, you can use speaker wire for a short time but it will eventually
break from all the flexing from the vacuum advance/retard module. Ask me
how I know.
