My experience has been : YES ! Replacement diaphragms sold by Moss, et al, seem to be made of sterner stuff. The only good news is that it appears the stuff will shortly be outlawed in the US, not because it's a ripoff (some studies of real world results show that it actually increases overall pollution, while costing consumers millions of $$$), but because it's carcinogenic.
