The post @ Sudden Battery Death reminded me of another current TR dilemma. I
bought the really nice Battery Box from Moss, after the months of
remanufacturing the battery shelf for the TR during its restoration. Now the
two vertical battery tie down holders were never rotted, so were never
affected. This means they are in the original factory position. However the
Moss box is about an inch too wide to fit.
At Britain on the Green someone mentioned they had the same problem, but
solved the problem with a hairdryer. I had no such luck, he hairdryer not
even coming close to softening the areas of the box needed to reduce the
size to form fit.
Has anyone on the list had this experience, and other than returning the
box, or using it in another application, has anyone been able to 'remold'
the box to fit between the hold down stays?
