If you really want to be picky, the CP/CR heads had the same port layout, which
was also the same as the CF heads.  Only the CC had a different layout.  Don't
know why; just does...

The heads changed for US Fed. Spec. TR6 at something like CC75000 - which
is, of course, current with the '72 model year.

So, even though the model numbers changed from CC/CP to CF/CR with the '73
model year, the cylinder head change was prior to that - with the '72 model
year.

Just wanted to make sure this statement was accurate.

You are correct that the port spacing on the intake ports is different,
you're just off on when the change occurred. Sorry to nit-pick.
