Can someone help me figure out which is Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 on a GM
alternator.

I am in the final stages of completing this modification and got to these
steps

Step 7: Splice the brown/yellow wire to the terminal 1 wire on the
replacement GM plug.
Step 8: Splice the remaining brown wire to the terminal 2 wire on the
replacement GM plug.

and went huh?

Is there any other identifying marks on the alternator to do this? I have
the GM two color plug which consists of a heavy red and thinner white wire.

I am so close I can just feel the overload of power....... :-)

Thanks in advance.
