Reading the threads about getting cars from point A to point B; most discussion is with Auto Transporters- Now folks have mentioned that the cost from one country to another via a shipping container has been in the $600- $800 range. My question is ' Has no one taken the same approach for trans-US?' Why not hire a container- roll the car in and secure it, insure it , and send it on it's merry way? If it works so well going across the ocean why not across the good 'ol USA? cheers, Frank U 59 Ford Consul MKII lowline convertible http://home.aol.com/funder770 Atlanta GA USA (well sort of...) oh yeah a Spitfire 1500 too! |
