My experience with most replacement rubber parts that I've purchased for various LBCs (and a several other nonLBC old cars) is that the suppliers appear to cut a few corners and do not use the appropriate additives (such as UV stabilisers, etc). After 4 years the replacement boot on my 78 Spit R&P split in two. The original boot on the opposite side looks very weathered but is still in one piece without any thru holes. |
