If the tr6 is like gt6 the other wire goes nowhere! its just stuck up
inside the covering a little way. As for the switch, its very simple. it only
provides a path to ground. Just disconnect the wire and start the car, if the
light stays on the problem is elsewhere.
I cross referenced the part numbers in my vicky brit catalogs and the
switch is the same for both cars. The switch may be corroded. If you remove
the switch be careful, its a little SOB to get in and out. Hope this helps
