Steve,

I added daytime running lights to my TR6. It helps the small car be
seen and has reduced the number of SUVs cutting me off on the
freeway. The headlights are on at 75 percent any time the ignition is
on. The kit is sold at Pep Boys or JC Whitney for about $25 and can
be attached without any permanent modifications. Most of the wires
can be connected by changing the bullet couplers for the column
headlight switch to quad connectors.

Sometimes I run a roll bar. It bolts behind the seat and to the
package shelf. For the diagonal braces in the center of the shelf, I
use some 1/8 x4 xabout 6 inch steel. Mark and drill them with the bar
out of the car. Also be sure to pad the bar. I also reinforced the
front mount as best I could in the limited space. I'm told you are
more likely to be injured by banging your head into the bar during an
accident.
