Now , now don't go picking on my ancestors.  The most illustrative being John 
Paul (Jones)  (He added the Jones to cool his creditors during the war).  
I've always admired some of the pirate credo, not all of it, but some, it;'s 
kind of like Robin Hood.  If you are a strict law and order person you don't 
care who made the laws and  any attendant effect, IT"S THE LAW YA KNOW".  
Usually the motivation for these activities came from a confused political 
situation (surprise, surprise) perhaps not unlike the way the US is today.  
The political system represents narrow interests, not those having wide 
spread support from the populace.

Oh shit, political commentary on the TR list !! Sorry.  Besides that I think 
those Pirates were probably all MG people !!
