You meet the nicest people on this List! Thanks to Henry Frye, on the
last day of my temporary registration, I passed inspection!!!!! I'm
officially registered now!! In addition to the new tie rod ends and
silentblocs I installed, Henry loaned me a set of his "octagonal" (you
should pardon the expression) knock-offs and a wrench. Wheels are REALLY
tight now! 8^)
I know, I know...not supposed to do that, but I didn't have time to
drive it for three hours to let them tighten on their own. Hope to get
through the summer and buy new wheels/hub extensions when the sales are
going on. We'll see if I can make it that long.
While picking up the knock-offs from Henry, got the 50 cent tour of his
"Triumphs-Only" shop...very well equipped, to say the least. Wish I had
half as much room in mine. Lots of cars, lots of parts, lots of tools.
Nice to have a convenient place to go when I need something! 8^)
