I am fortunate enough to have one about a half mile from my house
(Framingham, MA) , and it's very big every Saturday night. They call it a
Cruise-In -- in the parking lot of a local restaurant -- and it spills over
into a bank parking lot plus two gas stations across the street. They even
hire police to help people cross the street.
Sometimes I bring the TR3 there, and watch the people. There are typically
two reactions. The first is -- "I had one just like it in college" or "My
buddy had one just like it in college." The second is little kids. They
think it's a toy because it's so small, and all drag their parents over to
see it.
There are very few British cars there, just an occasional rubber bumper MGB
and a Lotus. Last year an MGA showed up, and an old Healy 3000.
It's mostly 57 Chevys, Model A Fords, and lots of hot rods plus some neat
motorcycles. I'm not a snob -- I like 'em all.

We have similar "shows" in my town...they call 'em Cruise Nights". Almost
exclusively 50s-60s American. Saw one MGA there last summer, but that's it
for LBCs. Now that I finally have one, I'll probably show up some Friday
night and gauge the reaction. If it's the same as when I had my last TR3
(late 60's), most attendees won't want anything to do with "them damned
furrin cars"! But then, a TR3 is about twice the size as a Mini!
