Gernot & Patrick,
Gernot is correct, no sealer. However you do need the special o-ring
that Malcolm mentioned, which Pegasus Racing had available in their
catalogue at one time. Their phone is 1-800-688-6946. Supposedly there
are special torques in reassembling calipers, different for each side.
Maybe Pegasus has this info or it comes with the o-ring. I don't know
what these are, but if I had to guess, I would see that the gap between
the two halves was even all the way around and compare it to a complete
caliper assembly. I painted my calipers with semi-gloss engine paint,
this helps shed the brake dust.
