Thanks, you should have told me before I bought a tube and used it.
Incidentally there was no mention of silicone (that I could see) on the
packaging for Form A Gasket 2.  It looked and felt like a cross between
grease and contact adhesive.

Is there an expert who would willing to prepare a FAQ contribution on the
use of these materials?  Some advice based on first hand experience of
locktite products and there uses would also be useful.
