Here is my info:

1. Type Vehicle : TR6
2. Year: 74
3. Type Overdrive: J
4. Type lubricant used: Redline MT-90, a fully synthetic 75W90 GL-4 gear oil
5. How long? 2 years
6. How did it perform? No problems
7. What Source did you use for this oil choice? Redline reputation is second
to none. I spoke directly with a petroleum engineer at Redline concerning the
J type overdrive. They were familiar with it and have had no reports of
problems with
using either MT-90 or the sightly lighter viscosity MTL (75W/80W GL-4). Using
this oil also has the side effect of making the trans. shift smoother and
reducing gear clash. The gearbox also seems less noisy.

Redline recommends MTL for most applications unless you live in a hot climate
(over 100F), then recommend MT-90. Very highly recommend.
