My Triumph has never been identified as anything other than simply
"Triumph" and the letters "CN" here in the state of Oregon.  (and the
commission number, of course)  That fact has never bothered me for any
reason, though.

But one time I was pulled over and ticketed for speeding in the TR6, but
later on I discovered that the officer had written on the citation "Triumph
Spitfire."

It occured to me that some people might use that as an opportunity to
somehow fight the citation.  But, I was indeed speeding and so I paid up
and took my lumps.
