My owners manual says 8 pints (US) for my '78
The Haynes manual says 9.6 pints (US).

(total capacity)

So I would say somewhere in between is close.

What is the correct amount of antifreeze/ water for my Spit? I've
drained
what I could from the radiator and refilled it with water. I plan to
run the
car for about 10 miles and then drain it again( after it cools down).
Any info
on the capacity of the system would be helpful. What are the opinions
regarding the Prestone flush kits that you can install on the heater
hose?
I've avoided going that route because of the age of the car. I'd hate
to start
a leak. TIA
