'white metal' along with 'liner wearings'.
If you have the pan off - easy to pull off a crank journal caps and take a
look at condition of bearings (keep in order). If it is worn through the
'white metal' into shell metal may really need lower end or entire engine
rebuild, if not down to the base metal but seriously worn you could do what I
did in '82 - slip out the old bearings and slip in the new (same size)! It's
not as good as 'turning' the crank (machining the journals to be smooth and
round again and fitting oversize bearing shells) but a fair way to extend
lower end engine life and improve oil pressure without a major overhaul.
