emissions and carb

Greetings everyone,

Thanks to those who wrote me with respect to emissions ideas.

I'm embarrased to admit before you all that I've never adjusted my carb.
beyond idle speed. Could someone please step by step the procedure for a
carb-tard like me? Mine is a single zenith-stromberg, 76 Spit 1500.

Bone head questions include which way is rich? Which way lean? How do I
know when it's 'right'?
