Robert,

I put in a new brake light switch, which I purchased from one of the Big 3,
and it only lasted for one year. After that I had to press the brake pedal
very hard to make the lights go on, harder than in normal driving. I got
another new one, and it's been fine now for 1 1/2 years. Yours may be bad.

Disconnect the battery. Take off the two wires from the switch and put an
ohm meter across the switch. It should read infinity. (open circuit.)
Step on the brake pedal. The meter should now read zero ohms (short
circuit). If it does not read a low resistance, replace it.

Subject: TR6 brake lights!

I have noticed that my break lights have stopped working lately. I know
that the actual bulbs are fine, and I replace the brake switch only one
year ago. Can anyone suggest where I should start looking to fix this
problem.

Thanks,
