Listers,

This came to me from one of the other lists that I monitor. The
subject was all of the old vehicles available down there.

-----

My 57 ragtop came from Mexico. I asked the guy I bought it from how
he got it back into Texas and he said it was none of my @#%$&
business. However, he was nice enough to ask if there was any other
vehicles I would like to have "inported". Before anyone asks, I
dont' know how to get in touch with the guy any more. The phone number
he gave me hasn't worked for a couple of years now.

I know guy here locally that took his new vehicle and aluminum car
trailer 75miles into the interior, below Warez, to get a 58 ragtop.
30 miles in, a local "law enforcement officer" stopped him and told
him to drop the trailer. The "cop" said the trailer was to long and
he had to confiscate it. After several tense minutes of negotiating a
"fine" of $200 dollars and few personal belongings (a .357 mag
revolver) was accessed against my friend and he was free to go.

Scary stuff.
