Check fluid levels, signs of leakage, slave cyl length of travel. If the
tapered  pin that holds the release bearing fork is broken, the simptoms you
describe would apply. Move the clutch shaft arm to check this for excessive
movement. It is also possible that the cultch will not disengage because of
the engine crank having moved forward due to dropping a thrust washer. Pry
the front crank pulley back and forth. If it moves more than .005" , pull
the oil pan and check the T Ws.
