Surly kilopond is a contradiction, kilo means 1000, cm2 means square centemeter yes. Is't kilo from the french like 1 kg is 1000 grams, or kW so given a conversion factor 1.422? not shure on that but 1kp/cm2 = 1422 psi, hmmm unreasonable me thinks.
