How does one change the gear oil in a TR6 transmission? For one thing,
don't waste your time messing around with the drain and fill plugs. For
years ( since 1981, I think ) I have pulled the tunnel, removed the top
cover, sucked out the old oil ( with a tool, naturally ), and filled the
transmission, with the aid of a mirror, right up to the level of the
fill plug. Is there another way? Actually, once one builds a little
experience, it doesn't take too terribly long - maybe 30 minutes to an
hour. And what is one hour out of the year spent to address the special
needs of one's difficult and pesky car?
