Seen in my local (Roswell, NM) paper:

"1964 Triumph TR-4 Roadster, Red, looks great, runs good. Sport wheels,
custom steering wheel, new front end, rebuilt transmission, extra parts,
spare engine block. Record of repairs. $4,500 OBO. (505) 624-1729"

I know the owner slightly, and have seen the car, briefly, a couple of
times, have no financial interest, etc., etc.

>From what I remember from several years ago, he was perhaps the second
or third owner. He had a friend who was mechanically inclined to a much
greater degree than he, and his friend did the rebuild on the front
suspension. The sport wheels, I'm not sure about, since it had wires or
discs on it when I last saw it--don't know if he's referring to these,
or to Minilite replicas (he was much taken by the set on his friend's
TR4, so it would not surprise me if he added those since I've last seen
the car). The paint, then, appeared to be original, and reasonably
well-cared for. Most of the car at that time appeared to be original, as
well. This is not a 4A--I checked and it is a straight axle car.

I figured the car would eventually come up for sale, since it's only
rarely driven, but did not expect this price. I'm not going after it
because the initial asking price probably cannot be brought down
significantly enough for it to be affordable for me (even though it
would be a welcome substitute for my long-deceased `62 TR4 - CT2334L).

Cheers.
