Jim, you are welcome. Here is a message I sent out about a month ago
regarding the certificate available from the British Motor Industry Heritage
Trust (BMIHT). Copy follows:
"Send a letter (or call) the British Motor Industry HeritageTrust (BMIHT).
They will issue you a certificate, suitable for framing, which has your build
date and all the particulars such as color, interior materials, accessories
and to whom it was shipped.
They have a home page at http://www.stratford.co.uk/bmiht (or an older page
at
http://www.ipl.co.uk/MG/heritOOa.html )
[ THE LATTER PAGE MIGHT BE DISCONTINUED ]
They WILL take a Visa card.
The cost is 20 english pounds ($31.21 in May '96 - you might want to check
the exchange rate). You can phone, fax, or snail mail your request to them
with your
name, address, car comm.# and credtit card # (or check) and the certificate
will be in
your hands in a short time.
Their address:
BMIHT
Heritage Motor Center
Banbury Rd, Gaydon
Warwick, CV35 OBJ
United Kingdom
phone: (01926)641188 fax: (01926)641555
END OF COPIED MESSAGE
I mailed my request with a check (in dollars) and received my certificate in
a few weeks. Some folks I know called them and passed the required info over
the phone.
Your choice.
Good luck. BTW - the certificate is well worth it. If I can be of any
further help, please do not hesitate to give me a shout. Cheers.
