 This one has been on the list again and again. The bottom line is; it is a
personal decision based on the future use of the car. I think you would be
on the right track with the use of Poly. bushes as these give a reasonable
middle way between the original rubber (which have little going for them)
and the Nylon, which will without doubt improve road manners but at a price
i.e a slightly harsher ride. I pondered over this one for months and made a
choice after much opoinion reading here on the list. For what it's worth I
went with; Front suspension: Poly on upper wishbone and Nylon with
stainless sleeves on the lowe. Rear springs: Rubber and steel bush on front
eye but ground back to accept special washers to reduce side ways movement.
Nylon bushes on back eye and shackles (checked for full movement before
fitting to the chassis). The only problem with all this advise is, I don't
know if I made the correct choice. The chassis is still up on stands and
won't be ready for the road for another year or so. Best of luck, whatever
you choose !!!
