Alan,

I had the same problem some time ago. My TR4 `63 died and started again
after some time ... died again and so on!
The cause was rust from the tank which stuck in the petrol pipe. Or from
the pipe itself. I cleaned the pipe with compressed air(spoiled the wall
color of my garage when the rust came out all of a sudden) and she works
fine since.

BTW thanks to all of you explaining what AC means. Now I know it is not
administrative council or alternative current but air conditioning.
