Your proposed number / condition scheme sounds quite a bit like the
Condition 1 thru 6 scheme already in use by a well-known used car
price guide, the exact title of which I can't quote from memory, but
it's available on newsstands nationwide.

Would it make sense to co-opt their existing numbers, since they may
already be familiar to many  ?  Their #1 car is good-as-new in all
important aspects, where #6 is a parts car or very ambitious project.
