In an archaeology lecture yesterday we were told of the amazing preservation qualities of waterlogged sites such as peat bogs, etc. This got me thinking and I rushed to my nearest waterlogged area. Lo and behold, I found a perfectly preserved viking long boat under my passenger seat!! I urge the rest of you to investigate thoroughly and not to simply brush out any timbers found under the carpets. Johnny Storm '77 Spitfire 1500 |
