Hydraulic Shocks

I would like to replace the shocks on the front of the TR6, does anybody know
how I go about just buying a simple good old Monroe for it?  Not Konie,
surely we can somehow cross refferance but I have to have a part number to
start with and nobody list them in thier shock catalogs anymore, or at least
I haven't found them.
