Gene; I have a friend with a Ford 289 and a C4 automatic in a '68 TR250. The engine fits quite nicely. The rear end was changed to leaf springs with a shortened Ford 9" rear end. There are no hood bulges, sccops or fender flares to give away what has been done. This car rocks! I doubt the V8 weighs much more than the six holer. I read somewhere that when Sunbeam made the Tiger, the V8 only weighed 90 lbs. more that the 1725cc 4 cyl.! |
