On this holliday weekend over here in Eastern Canada, what a better day to
do maintenance on the Triumph, or so I thought!

I was attempting to flush out the brake fluid on my '69 GT6+ when I wanted
to loosen the right rear bleed screw. Before attempting to loosen, I dabbed
a little Kroil Oil on the treads. Sure the screw came off no prob., but
when I was bleeding, I guess I must have tightened too much cause the cast
treads just opened right up! The treaded part just broke in 2 or 3 pieces.
Granted the cast doesn't look in good shape and was prob starting to rot, so
I guess in a good way, it's better to happen in the driveway.

So now...I haven't checked my supplier books, but what do I need? Anyone
ever tackle this before? Is it a big job? Any recommendations on what I
should replace in the same time? Shame...'cause I just came back from a 700
mile vacation without needing a drop of oil in it.

As always, thanks in advance.
