1) Don't start it at your parents' house, then move.
2) Just after you finish stripping your bodyshell, you'll probably find a
parts car in a junkyard that has a better body than your car. Start
all over again. Repeat as necessary, preferably 4-5 times.
3) You'll end up with lots of spare parts.
4) Make sure you (or your parents) have a loft in the garage, a barn,
several chicken and duck coops, and some room in the basement.
See #'s 2 and 3 for why.
5) After a certain point, say 8 years, change your goal to "becoming
the person who's taken the longest to do a frame-off restoration."
6) Always read the triumphs list, but realize that some people have a
strange sense of humor.
7) While not professing to be an expert, I think you'd want a post-'69
bodyshell, because it'll have the inboard radius arm mounts, and
a GT6+ because it has the super-neato rubber donut suspension,
as well as the cool louvered bonnet. Remember you either need
to use the brackets in the rear wheelwells of the GT6+ to mount
the shocks, or get the adapter brackets from TriumphTune. I think
that the radiator needs to be moved forward for the 6-cyl. as well as
some rearward position change for the transmission mounts.
