Fellow Britcarz Enthusiasts,
The British Motoring Club of El Paso (Tx) will host a gentle romp
throught the beautiful Sacramento Mountains of Southern New Mexico on
Oct. 14 and 15. No entry fees, no trophies or awards. Just Britcar
driving fun.
The drive is scheduled to start at 9:00 A.M. from the K-Bob's restaurant
at the intersection of Highway 70 and Main Street, Ruidoso, N.M.
The drive Saturday will be from Ruidoso to Capitan, N.M. and then to
Lincoln, N.M. for a tour of the court house where Billy the Kid made his
famous escape. Other attractions include a number of Period specialty
shops and antique stores. A late Lunch is planned at the historic
Stagecoach Cafe in Lincoln.
Sunday is reserved for a morning drive to High Rolls, N. M. for a visit
to their annual Apple Festival. This evevnt should take place between
10:00 A.M. and Noon, to allow plenty of time for travelers to return home
during daylight hours.
Weather should be cool weather wear so dress warmly.
This is a beautiful time to see the Fall colors of the Sacramento Mountains.
Come join us. This is a seed event for future ralleyes with the full
gamut of events.
