 No, not as such.  I'm the sort of person who would name a dog "Dog,"
 or a cat "Cat."  That being the case, I have always just called
 my Spitfire "Little Car."  

 I love little cars generally, and little British ones specifically,
 and every day that I drove this one was a day unsurpassed by any
 other.

 Many thanks also to everyone else who sent me words of sympathy;
 only another Scion of Lucas could understand the depths of
 affection that these character-rich vehicles generate in their
 owners.  

 I ended up mostly lurking here because my mechanical knowledge
 of the car was, at best, that of a middling weekend mechanic, but
 the knowledge, stories, and tales of success helped tie me in
 a very real way to britcar aficionados everywhere.  I hope 
 to pick another lbc soon, before I start to suffer serious
 withdrawal pains.
