Like Jerry, I have 16" Panasports on my car which can be seen @

In light of the binding nature of the stock Tiger's suspension design,
I'd imagine the tire sidewall of a higher profile provides little in
the way of meaningful ride comfort. The risk to damaged rims is true
with the low profile tires, but more from curbs than potholes. Either
way, Wheels America can repair alum. wheels to like new for a very
reasonable price.

I'd recommend going with at least 14" for better tire selection and
period correct sidewall appearance. The 15" and 16" rims have the best
selection to choose from in widths that Tigers can use if you don't
mind the more contemporary look (my preference).
