Airflow around the body could be tested with tufts. Usually about six inches of yarn taped forward of the tuft with the tufts on about four inch centers and set in rows about eight inches apart. The airflow will act on each tuft independent of each other and a very visual picture of stalled or reversed airflow is possible. I've not done this on my car but have used this on aircraft and the results are always worth the trouble. Robin |
