I remove my Ford FL1-A filter with a strap type filter over-center
remover that tightens a band around the center of the cannister. This is
on a Tiger with the Motorsport right angle adapter.

The stock mount for the filter, of course, releases the cartridge with a
regular wrench type for the band and the inlet feed bolt.
