Mallory Distr.

Hi Group.  I am adding a Mallory Magnetic Distr to my 5.0L engine, and
want to check on the correct installation.  What I am doing is:

a.  turning the engine over manually till I feel compression on #1 spark
plug, so that I know when it is hitting TDC.

b.  Setting the crank to advance setting of 8 degrees.

c.  turning the distr till the rotor lines up with the #1 spark plug.

d.  Will then start car and set advance to correct timing.
